Karma
Passage from Introduction Is There More To Life Than What We Know? On NBC there is a comedy television show called “My Name is Earl.” It is based on Karma in a comical way. It reminded me of what I learned in Sunday school about the Golden Rule, “Do unto to others as you would have them do unto you.” Wondering if the Golden Rule had anything to do with Karma, I looked it up in the dictionary and found that in the Hinduism and Buddhism beliefs, the word Karma means the total effect of a person’s actions and conduct during successive phases of his existence. Another way to look at Karma, it stands for cause and effect. What goes around comes around and if you live by the Golden Rule, you should have good Karma.
